When we began creating original programming, we took into consideration the current state of the entertainment business as well as the future. The idea of creating shows (podcasts, web series, netcasting) online first, then building audiences around them that rival the network Nielsens, offered a thrilling prospect.
Man and Wife TV, one of our first projects, grabbed 2 million viewers in its first six weeks. A year later, we delivered Man and Wife as a late-night half hour series on MTV. We successfully bridged the gap between the web and television, cross-pollinating our fans interactively between the two platforms. Our online-first model has become today's reality and tomorrow's direction.
